The KHPC Halloween Show is open to ALL PONY CLUB MEMBERS and will take place on Monday 30 October in Coilog, Kilmeague. There is a Fancy Dress Competition (no jumping), followed by XPoles right up to 1.10m. There are a huge amount of wonderful prizes kindly sponsored by TRI Equestrian. Entries on the day. - Mounted Games - International Competition at Punchestown 14/15 October

Congratulations and very well done to the 4 Kildare members who passed their B test on 30 September. Emma Dillon, Zara Nelson, Paul Hart and Ronan Moloney were successful. Well done on a great achievement.

- KHPC WIN SENIOR BOYS NATIONAL TETRATHLON CHAMPIONSHIPS
The Kildare Senior Boys team of Jack Sargent, Eddie Egan, Aaron Keogh Cribbin and James Coonan Won the Senior Boys National Tetrathlon Championships on August 26/27. They also won the Horsemanship Award as all had clear crosscountry rounds; among many other awards and prizes for the different phases of the competition. Both Jack and Eddie also won on the Irish Team in the International Competition. The Junior Girls Team of Ruth Sargent, Emma Egan, Emma Osborne and Sophie Carroll came 4th in the National Competition and Ruth and Emma came 3rd on the Irish team in the International Junior Girls Competition. Lorcan Keogh Cribbin, on the Junior Boys Irish team, came 5th in the International competition. Fantastic results all round.
- KHPC WIN JUNIOR AND INTERMEDIATE EVENTING CHAMPIONSHIPS
Congratulations to the KHPC Junior and Intermediate teams who won at the IPC Eventing Championships in Tattersalls on Aug 21 2017. The Junior team was Lottie Ross, Grace Adams, Ruth Sargent and Jill McKenna and the Intermediate team of Shaunnagh Delaney, Emma Dillon, Sarah Fitzpatrick and Cian Springate had a fantastic weekend and came out victorous. Super well done and mega congrats. You are setting a great standard for all the upcoming eventers in KHPC to follow.
- KHPC Host Novice One Day Event Sat 16 September 2017
The club will host it's second Novice One Day Event on Saturday 16th September 2017 in Punchestown, kindly sponsored by Berney Bros Saddlery. We are very grateful to Punchestown and Kildare Hunt for the use of their facilities which are ideal for running an event such as this. - Additional Rallies for August and September
There are Showjumping rallies organised for Wed 23 and Wed 30 August in Redhills, Kildare. 5pm for 60-70cm and 6pm for 80-1m. Contact Helen Dempsey with queries. Book in online. - Showjumping - KHPC WIN Alice Mernagh Cup at IPC Championships
Kildare Blue team of Alex Connors Lucy Hennessy, Rachael Doyle and Katie O'Neill won the Alice Mernagh Cup in a nail-biting jump off of 7 teams. Anna White came 4th in the individual competition. Libby Beirne was just pipped for a prize to finish 7th. In the John Ledingham competition, the Kildare Blue team of Ruth Sargent, Iona Finnergy, Georgie Connolly-Carew and Niamh Flinter finished 2nd. Although there were no placings in the Robbie Bailey competition, all KHPC members jumped very well.
- Combined Training and Pure Dressage Success at IPC Championships
Congratulations to the Pure Dressage team of Rebecca Payne, Isabella Hughes, Shaunagh Delaney and Emma Osborne who came 4th. Shaunnagh Delaney WON the Intermediate Combined Training. Emma Osborne won the Junior on a horse and Issabella Hughes won the Pure Dressage Individual. Rachael Doyle came 2nd in the U12 Combined Training.
- Mounted Games - U10s WIN the B Final.
The KHPC U10 team won the B final in great style at the IPC Championships. The team of Lauren and Robyn Dempsey, Jack Galway and Phonsie Wardell played with courage and determination to secure the red rosette! There were two junior teams who were 3rd and 4th in the B Final. The senior team, who only got a team together in the last few weeks played really well as two of them are new to games. Kildare Mounted Games are definitely on their way.

- KHPC WINNERS OF HOLMESTEAD SADDLERY IPC MINIMUS 2017
WELL DONE AND MEGA CONGRATULATIONS TO THE KILDARE MALTESERS TEAM WHO WON THE HOLMESTEAD SADDLERY IPC MINIMUS COMPETITION. The team of Jodie Zebedee, Julia Adams, Tom Murtagh and Cathal White ran, swam and rode brilliantly. Major congratulations also go to the Kildare Minstrels of Mark Masterson, Anna White, Jack Deegan and Alex Connors who were 15th and to the Kildare Smarties of Sarah Girvan Hendy, Rachael Doyle, Libby Beirne and Katie O'Neill who were placed 20th. All of the Kildare teams did themselves, their teams and their club proud. - WINNER AT MEATH & TARA P2P PONY CLUB RACE
A fantastic win, brilliantly ridden to pip the contenders on the line by CHARLIE O'DWYER, at the Meath and Tara Point to Point, Pony Club Race on Sunday 23 April. Charlie had it timed to perfection as his wonderful pony cruised past the competition in a nail-biting finish. The race was well supported by Kildare PC with Abi Plunkett, Georgie Connelly-Carew, Niamh Flinter, Andrew Carroll, Liam Browne & Max Ross all giving their ponies a great ride on their maiden voyage. There are new riding hat standards introduced in 2016 and they are available on the download link or click here. It is crucial that all parents check that your childs hat meets these standards as all hats will be checked throughout 2016 to ensure compliance. These standards are to keep your child safe.
