- MINIMUS CELEBRATIONS!
Mega Congratulations to all the children who competed in the Minimus Championships on Sat & Sun 16 &17 June. It was an AMAZING weekend and brought out all that good spirit of Kildare Hunt Pony Club - members, parents and committee alike. Huge work in preparing Punchestown for what looked like a real festival event with a beautifully build and presented cross country course. The 39 members who rode out across country were challenged in thinking and riding their way through a very well prepared course. We had FOUR teams in the top 20. In 2nd place - Kildare Minstrels of Anna White, Eliza Jane Queally, Harry McNamee and Alex Connors; In 6th place Kildare Jelly Beans - Niall Fitzgerald, Jack Deegan, Philip Cole and Jack O'Haire; In 17th place - Kildare Smarties - Hannah Popplewell, Alice O'Sullivan, Ben Connors, Rachael Doyle and in 20th place - Kildare Maltesers - Libby Beirne, Eva O'Neill, Charlie O'Neill and Daragh O'Haire.
There are lots of rallies available during June - on Tuesdays in Redhills Kildare and in Abbeyfield Farm, Clane on Wednesdays. All levels catered for. Book in Online. See schedule for details.

- New BACK PROTECTOR STANDARDS 2018
The BETA 2000 BODY PROTECTOR STANDARD WILL NOT BE PERMITTED FOR USE AT 2018 IPC COMPETITIONS. A Body Protector which is EN13158:2009 Level 3 or BETA Level 3 (Purple Label) manufactured in the YEAR 2009 OR AFTER is mandatory for Cross Country and whenever else a body protector is worn. Athletes are strongly recommended to check their body protectors on a regular basis and to replace them if damaged. A body protector should not impede flexibility or balance. Random checks will be made to ensure that the correct body protector is being worn, but it is the athletes responsibility to ensure they are wearing the correct dress (protective headgear, back protectors etc) during comeptitition, in line with the IPC Rules
